Karma Mipham Wangmo has a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1988, an MEd from Rivier College in 1990. From 1982-1990 she worked part time as a Certified Nursing Assistant at various nursing homes and spent six months in 1988 working for a temp agency in NYC. She taught Art in Van Buren, ME from 1990-1992. From 1992-1994 she was a typesetter for Gex, Inc. in North Hampstead, NH. From 1994-2000 she worked as a graphic artist at WASCO in Monroe, GA, and from 2000-present she has been a Color Correction Specialist at burton + BURTON in Bogart, GA. Karma Mipham Wangmo is using the variety of her artistic skills to design all SICGU’s logos, books and other visual artefacts.
