Participants: All students of the Full Program (Buddhist philosophy & Tibetan language)
Taking lessons with a qualified teacher is vital for understanding, but it is the combined effort of the students where most of the learning springs forth. Through group discussions and peer-review, one is able to gain completely fresh insight and new points of view to complement one’s understanding.
In Student Sessions, the students from all philosophy classes (Dura, The Tenets, Debate 1 and 2) practice what they have learned together. This is done by reviewing the definitions and other relations between concepts, as well as through friendly debating. Each session is guided by a voluntary senior student.
Our students have loved these sessions, as they are often very fun while acting as a bonding opportunity for the student towards their shared goal of learning. At the same time, they strengthen and solidify one’s understanding.
