Writing classes are connected to the Classical Tibetan Language and Grammar Classes, led by the teacher Gen Yeshi Dorjee and his assistants from the DLIHE. In these classes, students complete written assignments in Tibetan, familiarize themselves with Classical Tibetan spelling and vocabulary, and learn to express their ideas in writing.

The students are provided all the necessary material for completing their writing assignments (The textbook ངོས་ཀྱི་ཡུལ་དང་ངོས་ཀྱི་མི་དམངས།, grammar book ལེགས་བཤད་ལྗོན་དབང་།, as well as guidance in using a Tibetan dictionary and a Tibetan font for computers). 

The teachers of the writing class come from the renowned Dalai Lama Institute of Higher Education (DLIHE).
